My First Day at School-Paragraph

In 1993 I was six years old. I can remember a very important event that happened then. That was my experience about my first day at school. On that very day my father took me to Neel Para Primary School situated in our village. He took me to the headmaster's room. My heart beat fast. But his smiling face and gentle words put me at ease. He asked me my name and I told him my name. Then he pointed to a letter chart and asked me to say some letters. I could say them all. The headmaster then called a teacher I told him to take me to my class. I bade goodbye to my father and with the teacher and entered the classroom. He welcomed me and gave me a seat in the class room. My classmates received me warmly. I felt very happy.

A Rainy Day-Paragraph

On a rainy day the sky remains overcast with clouds. The sun is not visible. It looks dull and dismal all around. It pours and drizzles continuously round the clock. Along with the sharp showers, thunder roars, lightning flashes and strong wind blows. Rivers, canals and tanks swell up; roads and paths get muddy and submerged; the pedestrians with umbrella overhead have to move with care and caution. All work remains practically suspended.

Students cannot go to schools and colleges, and the few who go become drenched and shivering with a break-up on account of the rainy day. The labourers and day-wage-earners are hard hit on a rainy day. They cannot go out to earn their livelihood. But the even tenor of rain striking upon the tin roofs and window-panes give one a poetic mood. However a rainy day is, after all, a day of confinement at home.

A Moonlit Night-Paragraph

A moonlit night is always pleasing. It gives a nice view. It is exaggeration to say that moon lit night enchants everyone even a baby in the lap. A few days ago I enjoyed a moonlit night deeply. I with my friend Tuhin went on the roof of our building. The moon was shining in the cloudy sky. The sky looked like a canopy beatified with shining moon and glittering stars.

The moon washed the whole world away with her silvery light. Everything appeared to be coated with silver. Rivera, canals and ponds seemed to smile in the splendid moon beam. The trees and creepers looked bright and glaring. Dazzling light removed the gloom of night and it looked like a day. It offered us a beautiful sight. We took some lunch with us and ate these. Tuhin sang a nice song. Really it offered a sight that cheered our mind and left a deep impression on us.

A sun-set scene-Paragraph

A sun-set scene is a regular phenomenon of our daily life. but it becomes exceptionally enjoyable during a cool, calm evening. The beauty of the sun-set scene also depends on the surrounding, sitting or standing in which the beholder enjoys it. It is perhaps most enjoyable when seen from the bank of a river or a sea, the scene seems to be a miraculous one.

As the sun descends down the horizon. showering the last reddish rays over the green quivering leaves of trees and plants, nature becomes clad with a heavenly garment of lively color. Patches of clouds, vermillioned by the rainbow of colors, like heavenly canvasses of lively pictures. What creates the most fascinating scenery is the vast expanse of water in which the departing sunlight sparkles like pieces of diamond. The crimson sea-water blinks briskly. In such an atmosphere the mind finds it easier to settle into spiritual devotion.

Pastimes in urban and rural areas Paragraph

Pastimes are the spices of life as they remove monotony and fatigue of life. Pastimes vary from person to person and urban to rural life. The urban people are exposed to all modern amenities. Besides, their life is too much mechanical. Hence, they try to go out of the din and bustle of the urban life. They usually go to the park, visit zoo and amusement parks with their children. Besides, watching T.V hiking, bird watching, camping etc. have been very popular with the urban people. But the rural people are deprived of modern amenities. Hence, they enjoy gossiping in their leisure. It is noteworthy that the facilities of dish antenna has reached many remote village our country. As a result, people are now enjoying TV watching. Besides, Jatra, jarigan, sharigan, snake charming, magic shows etc. are still popular in rural areas. Village people also enjjjoy our native games, for example, kabadi, football, ha-du-du etc. besides, very often they raise storm on the cup of tea in the tea stall about political condition of the country. Thus, it is found that pastimes of the urban people are different from those of the rural people.

An Experience of A Rainy Day-Paragraph

Last Sunday I could not go out of the home. Because it was raining in torrents. However, I enjoyed the day. I sat beside the window of my room, and watched the natural scenery through it. It was a splendid scene. At first it rained in a drop or two, then drizzled and finally cats and dogs. It was a day of purification of nature. Because the rain washed away the dust and filth. The tress and plants were tossing their heads as if they were dancing in joy.

The birds and animals tried to save themselves from the heavy shower. The nature looked beautiful. It lessened the intense heat of the summer and helped purify the whole atmosphere. The low-lying areas were filled and over flown by the heavy rain during this time. The whole surrounding took a new look. I really enjoyed the day and I felt happy.
