The term student refers to him who studies in any school, college or educational institution. But an ideal student is one who is not confined to institutional or text related education; but attempts to acquire knowledge of the whole universe.
The first and foremost duty of a student is to study. And an ideal student never avoids this fundamental duty. He is never late in the class. He is very attentive and sincere to his lessons as well as the instructions of his teachers. He is always respectful to rules and regulations.
Secondly, an ideal student is respectful not only to the rules of the school but also to the teachers and parents. He follows the advice and instructions of the teachers and parents. He also thinks for the betterment of the society. He never does anything harmful for his society. Rather, he tries to improve the society with his merit and hard work.
Thirdly an ideal student is a tireless pursuer of knowledge. He proceeds to acquire all types of knowledge of the whole universe.
Moreover, an ideal student maintains discipline both in his studies and character. He always maintains decorum and decency in his behaviour and life style. He follows what his conscience dictates. He is never guide by whims and caprices. Above all, an ideal student possesses a self-sacrificing nature and a strong sense of duty towards his family, society and country.
Thus we see that an ideal student is devoted and dutiful not only to his study but also to his teachers, parents and nation indeed. He is an invaluable asset to our society as well as country.
